Parent-Child Fortnite Duos Tournament: Presented by GGLeagues and The Coalition of Parents in Esports (COPE)
Gear up for our Fortnite Parent & Child duos event! Always wanted to play some games with your kid? Now you can! Team up with one parent and one kid and battle it out with other parent child duos on Fortnite! Did we mention registration is free? Teams will participate in a 100-person lobby for the battle royale. Players will receive points based on eliminations, and placement they receive in the competition. The team with the most points will be the winner and receive a GGLeagues Championship trophy as a prize! Players must have Fortnite downloaded on a compatible device (PC or console).
Tournament and Stream Details
The Fortnite tournament will take place on December 11th at 3:00pm CST. The registration deadline for this tournament is December 10th at 5:00pm CST. Tournament matches will be livestreamed on the GGLeagues Twitch Page so families can watch along! Following the matches, we will have some fun stream events planned with GGLeagues and COPE featuring professional gamers!
How to Join the Fortnite Duos Tournament
In order to compete in the Parent-Child Fortnite Tournament, you will need to register on our website. Follow these steps in order to register:
- Create separate accounts on GGLeagues for both players who will be participating
- One player will navigate to the My Teams Page and create a multiplayer team. This team captain will then invite their teammate to join them using the "Add Team Members" button. Alternatively, teammates can search for the name of the team they want to join on our Teams Search Page
- Once both players are on the team, navigate to the Tournament Page for the parent-child tournament
- Click on the button that says "Join League" in the top right, and you are all set! You will receive email updates from GGLeagues as we get closer to the tournament start date!
